Our Chief Operating Officer and Financial Director, he is committed to the business management field.  He began his professional career with a major accounting firm in the Washington, DC area where as Manager of Government Contract Audits he was responsible for conducting financial, internal control, and compliance audits for Federal agencies including Departments of Labor, Agriculture, and Housing and Urban Development that involved such diverse functions as military bases, CETA grants, school lunch programs, and housing authorities.

He subsequently managed the firm’s Tax Department before establishing and developing its Personal Financial Planning Department.

He joined the Equitable Companies – which later became AXA Advisors LLC – in Los Angeles in 1985 as Assistant Agency Manager and practiced as a Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®) practitioner on major individual accounts.

Upon becoming promoted as Equitable’s Director of Advanced Underwriting, he returned to the Washington, DC area where his expanded responsibilities included financial advisory services for small businesses on tax planning issues, succession planning, employee retention, investment strategies, legal arrangements as well as options for loss recoverability for high-tech firms, defense contractors, law offices, CPA firms, and manufacturing companies.

His business leadership is widely recognized, having served as President of the Virginia Society of CPAs (Northern Chapter) in 2002-3.  He is a frequent speaker for CPA and financial planning industry groups.  His recognized skill and extensive experience in corporate matters, financial reporting and auditing, compensation & benefits strategies, management consulting, investment portfolio management, retirement planning, and general business consulting were consequential in his appointment as our Chief Operating Officer.

His familiarity in applying our SMART™ (Systems Methodology Applied to Risk Termination) and its associated software TOTEM™ enhances his ability to manage the corporation’s operations, professional recruitment and training functions, financial  controls, and tax policy.

He is a corporate shareholder and charter member of our Board of Directors.
