Client Management Concerns and Needs

Good ideas and innovative concepts are critical to the continuing growth of any corporation. We live in a dynamic world where both ongoing work within a company and diverse external forces that influence that work are constantly changing. To accommodate – even capitalize on – this dynamism requires the regular acquisition of new, breakthrough reasoning, logic, and rationale required for effective management. This is particularly true when managing risk. Seminars, workshops, short courses, and executive presentations are some of the most effective means for rapidly obtaining the knowledge required to maintain cutting–edge competence in risk management. Procuring and mastering new patterns of thought throughout a corporation must be built around a core of key personnel who are able to become promoters or champions of that new thinking at all levels – executive, middle–management, and first–line supervision. The systems approach –– the sine qua non of all effective strategies for managing risk – is critical to enabling a variety of interrelated educational options to be pursued by a corporation. However, each option – regardless of its length or complexity – must be centered on the all-encompassing, global, "womb–to–tomb" perspective provided by the systems approach. In that way, all attained knowledge – at every organizational level –– will build upon and support a common conceptual core. And the corporation can thereby efficiently maintain an up–to–date status with latest innovations as they occur

Work Required to Satisfy Concerns

Advances in knowledge and understanding occur at varying rates throughout time. At certain intervals, the state–of–the–art changes sufficiently that it becomes necessary to upgrade skills, understanding, and perception to take advantage of obvious progress. Skill in perceiving when that time has arrived as well as the ability to codify and reduce to practice new ideas so that they can readily be incorporated into ongoing corporate life demands a unique teaching perspective. That outlook is the product of lengthy management experience, personal subject matter involvement, and developed communicative proficiency. Based on that foundational capability, there must be a well–balanced series of learning opportunities designed, prepared, and made available for mastering the contemporary material. So executive sessions lasting less than an hour are balanced with others of longer duration and deeper involvement. Of course, there also will always be the need for continuing education for basic topics which periodically need to be refreshed. Regardless of subject matter sought, both standardized and tailored curricula are obtainable. Likewise, in–house courses offer the advantage of direct corporate application whereas publicly–scheduled ones – while generalized in focus – offer the enrichment of a diverse enrollment.

In summary, clients set these criteria:

• Course subject
• Target audience
• Number of attendees
• Length of course
• Location of course: on–site or specified off–site.
